Finally, we made it to Istanbul. Our first day brought us to the world’s largest shopping center – the Grand Bazaar. It has more than 4,400 shops! To be honest, it was a little disappointing, since it was miles and miles of the same things. Not much in the way of unique items or artisans. But we did buy some nice trinkets! On the way home, we passed an odd little house, and then met Dad when he arrived – just in time for dinner at a very nice, authentic place in the Old City.
